However, it occurs to me that if you are starting afresh from an accounting point of view, you would open an account to reflect inventory and effectively incorporate the $26,000.00 as the starting balance, just as you would do with all the other accounts, which form part of your balance sheet. Thereafter, entries to the account would be Transfers and not relative directly to Income. I hope this may be of some help. AJM |
