I run Norton Anti Virus and have never disabled it either for an
installation of Money or a access to Money 2005 after it is installed. I
also run a Firewall but their I just had to agree that I trusted Money
to access the web.

There have been reports that you need Norton disabled or even uninstalled
before you can get M2005 installed. There is something about Money that
Norton doesn't like.

Once Money is installed then Norton is happy to find Money already on the PC
when you reinstall it.

My guess is you may need to do some adjustments to Norton, not disable
it but since the tech did not know Norton well enough, he just told you to
disable the whole thing.

You may have had the settings right for the 2004, but now with a
different program it is not allowing 2005 the same rights as it did the 2004
version.

This is not correct. I currently run Money 220 with Norton Internet
Security and Antivirus. The first time you try to log into Money,
Norton will pop up a box asking if you want to allow the program to
connect to the internet. If you you click "Always allow", you can log
in without any problem.

Default Money 2005

I spoke with a Mirosoft Technician on the phone and he informed me that to
log-on to Money 2005 and download my banking, credit card and brokerage info,
I have to disable my Norton Antivirus and Norton Internet Security ! This is
ridiculous ! This was not the case with Money 2004. Why did I upgrade to
Money 2005.
