| Thanks a lot - changing the categories as you suggested solved the problem, The 30 days have expired so I cannot get a refund. I was supposed to get a rebate because I bought Tax Cut at the same time but they wrote me that I did not enclose the box top with the bar code. I know I did include it because of the weight I had to use two stamps but I have no way of proving it - they won't accept photocopies.. Last time I fall for the rebate scam. | M05 upgrade changes all existing Food:Groceries transactions to Groceries and Food ining Out to Dining Out. Why, after 11 version upgrades that werecontent to leave categories alone, M05 had to be different we do not know. See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=163 for information about undoing this specific M05 symptom. As to reverting from M05, that's not a bad idea, either. (See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=17 for reversion and http://umpmfaq.info/Money2005.htm for why I skipped M05.) Hopefully, you've had M05 for less than 30 days, so you can have Microsoft feel your pain by buying it back from you. (See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=49 for info on the 30DMBG. They will refund sales tax as well as your cost to ship it to them.) | I recently upgraded from Money 2002 to money 2005. I have 3 sub-categories under food : groceries, snacks and restaurants. When I go to reports for the total of my monthly and 12 month expenses only the snacks total appears. In the report page I went to - customize - categories and I made sure that all three categories are checked but the problem persists. I feel like uninstalling Money 2005 and reinstalling the 2002 version. Before I do this, can anyone help me? Barry Howze |
