without internet-based services, you click "update" in Money, it connects to
your bank (which must support Money) and downloads the statements.

with internet-based services, MSN downloads your statement from your bank on
your behalf, and then Money downloads it from MSN. Money can do it
automatically, even when it does not run; also, it can (though not very
likely) download it even from a bank that does not support Money.

Also, as I understand, internet-based services allow Money to download daily
quotes for your investments and currency exchange rates, in case you have
accounts in foreign currencies.

Default Internet services and investment ? (2 years free?)

The internet services policy means I have 2 years to access what? Now in
Quicken, I can set up investment accounts to directly download and update
from the broker site such as; schwab, scottrade, etc.

Can I do this in MM 2005?

The "two years free" is for what exactly? Is it the MSN integration or all
broker accounts, banks, etc?

Thanks,

Jeff

ps --> (the policy) ....

Microsoft® Money 2005 Internet-Based Services Policy

Microsoft® Money 2005 includes up to two (2) years of Internet-based
Services. You will be able to use the Internet-based Services in Microsoft
Money 2005 for a period of two (2) years from installation of the product or
until September 1, 2007, whichever is earlier. After expiration, if you
elect not to upgrade or are unable to upgrade to a version of Microsoft
Money that continues to support Microsoft Money 2005 Internet-based
Services, you will not be able to automatically update your accounts and
investment values in Microsoft Money 2005. You will still be able to view
and edit your financial data in Microsoft Money 2005 and to manually update
your accounts and investment values. Microsoft may from time to time without
notice, automatically download and install onto your computer updates for
Microsoft Money, including updates necessary for you to continue to use the
Internet-based Services. Please read below for more details.

NOTE: Internet-Based Services are features of Microsoft Money 2005 that give
you the ability to perform certain Internet-based financial tasks through
the Microsoft Money 2005 client software. Your ability to perform certain
Internet-based Services (such as Internet-based banking) may require that
you obtain these services separately from your financial institution, with
or without a fee. Microsoft reserves the right to modify or discontinue
these Internet-based Services at any time, without notice.

Internet-Based Services simplify managing your finances by allowing you to
more easily accomplish key tasks within Microsoft Money 2005. Internet-based
Services in Microsoft Money 2005 enable you to connect with financial
institutions and make updating your financial data more automated and
efficient.

For users that utilize Internet-based Services, there will be notifications
within Microsoft Money 2005 in advance of the date when Internet-based
Services expire. To continue using Microsoft Money 2005 Internet-based
Services after expiration, you can (i) upgrade to the then-current version
of Microsoft Money to take advantage of the new and improved features of the
most current version; or (ii) if there is no upgrade version available that
continues to support Internet-based Services in Microsoft Money 2005, you
will still be able to view and edit your financial data and to manually
update your accounts and investment values.

Microsoft may also from time to time without notice, automatically download
and install onto your computer updates for Microsoft Money 2005. Some of
these updates may be necessary to enable you to continue to use some or all
of the Internet-based Services.
