| First, thank you for responding. :-) Well some odd follow up. I tried to enter the url like you said to trusted, just as-is shown. I got some warning telling me I have entered an invalid wildcard sequence, so I removed the c:\ and it then went in showing me under Websites as file://Program Files I then removed it because it did no good. Any way, yes it is using flash as you stated, but I discovered something new... Never thought to check this, I was going to want too watch the first one as I said; the "Indroducing Money 2002" which is the very first video to pick from the list. I see there is like about 10 of them below the first, so I thought what the heck, try one of the others. It seems those work just fine, when I choose various ones, (well the ones I did) it did bring up the flash player and began working fine. It (so far) seems to only give me this warning "Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly." when I choose the first one in the list "Indroducing Money 2002". Now RE: "have you ran MS02 updates?" If you mean by updating to the new XP SP2 update?, as I stated; have not done that and "at this time" I am wishing not to do so. Yes, I do know many say its safe, and good thing to do, it works just fine. Etc Etc. However, I am also aware of some views from those who have issues with the new XP SP2 update and I'm kind of sitting on the fence pending as to when I may choose to do that. RE: new broswer & spybot, I tend to be old school, and stick with one browser, I may some day try another, just not yet. I guess the issue maybe with only that one (1) video, I disabled my spybot to test this stuff, and about the registry settings... I am deathly afraid to go near those. "LOL" As many others "are" I'm sure.... I guess if it is a problem with the one single video and the page for it.. Has anyone out there got the first video to work called "Indroducing Money 2002" in help section then "Instructional Videos" then "Indroducing Money 2002"??? If some one gets that single one to work, I guess its no biggy if I dont see it. Though I hope in some way I can.. Thank you much. :-) "jmoeller18" wrote: - quote - > in MS05 the videos are flash based > have you ran MS02 updates? > tried different browser such as netscape, firefox or mozilla? > add the url into the trustred zone in the security settings > set security settings on low? > that spybot can really lock things down, try removing it and > reinstalling ie or look through the registry settings |

| Ok I have msn my-money 2002.. I have Norton Firewall installed, had activeX set to prompt, also tried default settings, and off-line disabling NFW.. In my IE settings, I reset settings to all default, both internet & local internet too default trying to get this too work. I also have spybot installed, with resident on, disabled this and also the IE "tweaks" section in-case it was this. I'm running IE 6, XP Home Edition Sp1.. And no, I don't want new Sp2 "yet", so that wont help me. Here is problem. Everytime (in money 2002) I click help, then choose "Instructional Videos" because I'm leraning this for first time how to use it. The video will load then I get a IE warnning popup> Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly. Even though I tried everything to allow activeX.. I am choosing first option video "Indroducing Money 2002" It brings up this page link off my HD, the warnning, I click ok on warning, then page sits there and does nothing. C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money\Media\iue\iuevid.htm This is very annoying, I tell my IE to allow signed activex only, tell my NFW to allow, turn it off "offline", and cant figure out what the hell it is I need to get these to work. :-( Thank you... |
