Cal,

Thanks for your response. I was actually, using Deluxe and didn't know it. I
have answered the rest of the question I had, with your help of course.
Thanks again,

Chris

Does it say "Enlarge/reduce portfolio" above the portfolio and have
the little graphing symbol next to the stock symbol and name? That
would be Deluxe.

With Deluxe, when you go to
http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor...omstocksdl.asp it
says "Deluxe Screener" at the top. With non-deluxe, it does not.

In Money, Tools-> Settings-> SharingOptions let you set up
sharing/roaming options. If you don't have a Passport on your Money
file, you cannot have the data shared.

I don't know; I don't think so, but if you could, it would involve
combining your data onto MSN servers again. You said you did not
want that. Do you want the integration, or do you want the
isolation?

Cal,

Thanks for the response. It cleared up a few things for me.

What I am thinking about must be the non-deluxe version. I have never heard
of or seen the deluxe version.

So is there no way to use the screener from within Money or do I have to go
to that site in my browser? In terms of that MyPortfolio.mny file the
investment toolbox creates, I wanted to get into it to maybe print out the
stocks that were in the portfolio (ones that I moved there from the
screener) so I could do a little research, but the file is password
protected and I cant get in. I tried every password that I use for things,
but no luck. Any ideas?

Will do.

The MoneyCentral MSN Money Deluxe version runs a version of
Microsoft Money 2005 on your computer. The non-deluxe is a
Java-based application that does not require installation, and
probably meets your description of web-based.

If you use a different passport on MoneyCentral deluxe portfolio
than you use on your Money file, you could use the stock screener
there without your actual data being there. Just enter experimental
data on MoneyCentral.

Default Investment Toolbox Integration with Money

Hello,

Money 2004. I was wondering exactly what the MSN Investment Toolbox is. The
site mentioned, before I downloaded it, that you could track your portfolio
with the toolbox. It also said that it included a screener and advanced
charting. I already handle my investment accounts in Money of course Money
doesn't have a stock screener, so the toolbox looked like something I would
want. When I downloaded the software and went on to use the site (at this
address: http://moneycentral.msn.com/scripts/....dll?ipage=pmx), it
looked an awful lot like the Portfolio area of Money. I guess what I would
like to know is whether the software is used in conjunction with your Money
software and existing file, or is it a web-based application that does not
require Money. I would like to use the stock screener from within Money. Is
this possible? I am not quite sure what the toolbox entails in itself versus
what is merely a functionality of the site. Also, I just spent a lot of time
getting my personal financial data off of MSN's servers and I would rather
not put it back on. Is there any way to prevent this? Finally, I tried
everywhere to find some sort of users guide for the toolbox to help me
understand exactly what is going on, but no luck. Is there one? I appreciate
the help. Thanks,

Chris
