| I think what you suggested would work, but I took another approach, which was going to both institutions and adding access to the "other" account in each case, to the account that was properly downloading. So, with one sign-on I am getting both accounts download. It's not how I wanted to do it, particularly in the case of my wife's and CC account and may indeed try your sugestion some time when I have more time to devote to it. This worked, so I may not fool with it under the "if it works, don't..." belief. I had considered deleteing her account and starting over, but as someone else had noted, if I tried to delete ONE account at the financial institution, '05 wanted to delete BOTH and all records. Not an option. Thanks for the help. I am a 12-15 year MS $ user and it astounds me this one operates so far from the logic of previous versions without clear enhancements, for me. Here is "the other thread":> posting. I have similar problems in that my wife and I have separate credit > card accounts at the same institution and at another institution we have both > checking and savings accounts. I cannot seem to get 05 to allow me two > separate accounts with two separate sign-ons in either of these cases. These > aren't small, local institutions and I never had the problem with MS 03. > What is the solution? http://groups-beta.google.com/groups...05&safe=images The suggestion was this: ===================================== If you have different login credentials, this is something I think will work for you. Keep an extra copy/backup of your file in case you do not like the result. Create the new account but when you get to the "Assign a financial institution" window specify that the institution is at "MyBank Alice" or some such. Then on the next window you "Confirm the name of your financial institution" to MyBank from the list. If you already have the accounts, try changing the Financial Institution in the Account Details. You might have to stop online access for that institution first. Make your changes. Then set up online access again. The plan is that Money treat them as separate institutions and makes separate requests with separate access info. This has not come up for Money 2005 that I remember, so there may be some factor that I am not considering. Let us know how it works for you. ================================================== =========== - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, garnd wrote: > > > > MM 05 > > > I was glad to read on the other thread that you solved this. > > Question: do you have a Passport on your file? > > > > > > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > > > > > In microsoft.public.money, garnd wrote: > > > > > > > > How do i set up auto-online updates when u have multiple accounts at one bank > > > > > w/ different IDs and pswds? > > > > > > > What program are you using? > > > > > > > > |

| I have searched and cannot find the "other thread" referenced in this posting. I have similar problems in that my wife and I have separate credit card accounts at the same institution and at another institution we have both checking and savings accounts. I cannot seem to get 05 to allow me two separate accounts with two separate sign-ons in either of these cases. These aren't small, local institutions and I never had the problem with MS 03. What is the solution? I don't think so. I was just looking into what factors contributedto your success. - quote - > what

That can be useful when your bank does not provide access on its own. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, garnd wrote: > > > > MM 05 > > > I was glad to read on the other thread that you solved this. > > > > > > > > |
