| Again, you don't normally restore when moving between versions. Check Help About and make sure that the Money 2005 version is 14.0.*.1105. Then use Windows Explorer or My Computer to navigate to your .mny file and double click on the file name. This will start M2005 and convert your file. Unless you want to use the MSN features decline offers to input a passport (and password come to that). The reason for doing it this way is to eliminate any peculiarities that may be introduced by importing or restoring. It is the "normal" upgrade route and will make it easier to help if you have any problems. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. | Oops, I'm sorry, you are correct. I opened the newer Money 2005 and then restored a backup file on my HD, not imported. | Can we be sure that you do mean "imported" as in your Subject and opening sentence? In Money terms "import" means a very specific operation and normally, when moving from version X to version X+1, you do not use the "import" function. Normally when you install version X+1 it will find your .mny file or, if not, you can navigate to the file with Windows Explorer and double click on the file name. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. | I own Microsoft Money 2004 and imported my file into the latest trial version. The problem: I have NO bills in my bills category since I erased them all but for some odd reason the bills (and their alerts) still show up in my main home page. When I click on each bill it goes to the Bills Summary page where there are no bills listed. I have this with 4 bills and it's pretty annoying since I can't erase them or shut them off and they are reoccuring every month. Any ideas for a fixbesides taking hours to make a new money file from scratch?? John |
