| I don't know of a fix, step-by-step, or otherwise. That's not to say there isn't on; just that I don't know one way or the other. But you might try links from: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...ns&btnG=Search "Bret" <Bret[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:384A4E98-D2C7-4C70-A432-D8A88EF80614[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I'm having the same problem as this Money 99 user and appreciate your > assistance and wisdom. | I'm having the same problem as this Money 99 user and appreciate your assistance and wisdom. Could you be a little more specific in the step-by-step fix for this neophyte? Thanks so much. | Glad I could help. Thanks for the feedback. I'd beware that some other app may break. I'm assuming that something setup the Autoexec.nt whatever way for a reason, even if Money install doesn't like it. <ivawda[at]yahoo.com> wrote in message news:1108852164.054793.219230[at]g14g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... - quote - > Many thanks! | Tough to say. My first thought is to attack the file C:\Windows\System 32\Autoexec.NT. I'd rename it out of the way so it didn't apply at all. <ivawda[at]yahoo.com> wrote in message news:1108812429.990347.236340[at]f14g2000cwb.googlegroups.com... - quote - > I have successfully installed Money 99 on my laptop which has XP Home > (SP2). | I have successfully installed Money 99 on my laptop which has XP Home (SP2). When I try to install it on my desktop with XP Pro (SP 2), I receive the following message: "16 Bit Windows Subsystem - C:\Windows\System 32\Autoexec.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-Dos and Microsoft Windows applications." Can anyone please help? |
