I'm well aware Support doesn't get it right, probably much of the time. I'm
also well aware that their #1 motivation is to close the call quickly and
this is a great way to do it. I just wonder what the developers think of
Support telling their customers that the thing just plain doesn't work in a
fundamental way. OTOH, they released M05 if that indicates anything.

Dick, there has been more than one occasion in the past when MS Support have
not exactly got it right.

It would be a bit like a viewer of the Money NGs concluding that Money must
be a crap product because of all the posts whilst forgetting all the
non-posters who are happily getting on with using Money with nary a problem.

Doesn't it seem a little whacked that Microsoft Support tells people this,
and Microsoft Development doesn't seem to care?

Just FYI, Outlook files prior to the version that is created with Outlook
2003 have a 2 GB limit. Newer versions have a initial 20 GB limit that can
be expanded.

Microsoft Tech Support told me that files over 10 mb tend to become corrupt.
I thought that was a very small size considering the empty file I created
with Money 2005 is already over 3 mb. I just don't see the point in tracking
my finances in a package that suggests that I store less than a few years of
data.

My primary file is 80,000 kb; it works, but is slow -- especially when I
access it over a slow wifi network.

Default File Size Limitations

Hi,

Is there a size limitation for a Money file? I know Outlook has a 2gb max,
but industry recommends not allowing a pst file to exceed 500mb. Is there a
recommended size to keep your Money 2005 file under?

Thank You,
Greg
