Repair doesn't fix it either.

I guess I really didn't think it would matter how I opened it. But it's
pretty much unusable now. I find it weird that there is an error message
that obviously is reading something, a flag or registry setting, but I can't
find a way to reset the thing. Just seems silly.

You could try a repair on the file. Reading back, is there any reason you
chose to do a 'restore backup' rather than just trying to open the main
money file?

I did go in and create a budget just so I could go back and forth.
No difference.

No difference.

There must be some flag the program is reading to generate that error.
Surely someplace I can reset it. It is making the program unusable.

Although there is no reset function on the cash flow forecast, you could try
changing it to use trended items, save it - see if the error is still
around. If not, change it back to budgeted items again.

Regarding moving a money file from one machine to another, normally you just
move the MNY file and open it - you don't need to worry about backup files
here (although having them is very useful).

Default Cash Flow Forecast

I recently moved my money from one machine to the other. I installed on the
second machine and used a restore backup to get the accounts on. Now I get a
error message everytime I do any transaction. "Due to changes in your Money
File, the saved version of the 'Cash Flow Forecast' report is no longer
valid. Money has attempted to reset this report, but you should reset it
manually to avoid unreliable information" But I can't find anyway to reset
the report, any help would be great.
