| I think you are not undersanding what I am saying. I did catagorize the income as a "negative" expense. That's how I did it on Yahoo! but for some reason the amount in that catagory still is the same as it was before I catagorized the income as an expense. I have a bank service charge of $18 and then I get a $18 credit from the bank. But even though I catagorized the credit under the same expense catagory I still have $18 show up for bank service charges in my spending by catagory pie chart. | It sounds like you already know the answer: just categorize the returned stuff as a [negative] expense in the same category. Have you tried this? And it didn't work why? | When I buy something, let's say it was $15. Then I return $9 of it. Do I just catagorize the other stuff as an expense in the same catagory? I can't seem to get rid of that amount in my expense report. There has to be a way to reverse charges to show the real amount I spend. Every month my bank charges me a service charge and then refunds it. But the amount I was charged still shows up in my expenses even though I catagorized the refund in the same catagory. When I used Yahoo! finance I was able to do this, is there anyway in Money 2005? Also I buy stuff for friends and they pay me back later. That's why it would be helpful since this throws my expenses off. |
