| I seem to have the same problem ... weird. My February budget summary wants to create new values for expenses that are not directly associated with a bill. I can't figure out a pattern in how Money 2005 is comming up with the adjusted values. The "next month" budget amounts are exactly the way I created them ... ditto with the "last month" amounts. I've used this product since 1997 and I have seem some pretty strange things. This ranks towards the top of the list. I'm surprised that more people aren't posting on this thread. I'm gonna check the dreaded Microsoft knowledge base. Maybe I'll call their tech support line if I have a few hours to kill. Lemme know if anyone solves the mystery. | Can anyone help me fix my February budget in M05? (This is just one of the many, many, many problems I've encountered.) For some reason, the Feb report has averaged each of the budget items. By the way, I don't like M05 either. It's really a shame that Microsoft is advancing it's financial program ideolgy to the exclusion of long-time users who don't subscribe to that view. I've been using Money from the beginning and before that, Kiplinger's Managing Your Money. Oh, how I wish MYM was still available: simple, easy to use, and gave me everything I needed. Now, I'm tempted to put all my financial data in a spreadsheet(s) and uninstall every reference to "Microsoft Money". I have been faithful to Money since it's initial release and have purchased the new version each year thereafter, but that will all change. Unless some significant program changes are made, I will never purchase another, nor will I ever recommend it. |
