One more thing: some brokers, if you download data from them, will report
the split as a stock dividend. In some cases, Money will ask whether the
dividend is the split (and ignore it). In other cases, it won't ask, will
just d/l a "add shares" transaction, which you should then void.

Don't do anything now. The stock split will normally download with
the quotes. Yes, it will double the number of shares and adjust all
of your per-share purchase prices. Expect the stock to trade at
about half of the price of the day before.

Look up stock split in online help. I suspect you'll find your answer. You
tell Money about it and it works out the details for your holdings. I'd give
you the exact path to get there, but I'm not at an M04 machine.

Default How do I handle this?

Hello all,

I'm using Money 2004, and while I don't have any of my accounts linked via
the internet... I do use the update feature every day to update my stock
prices... one of my positions is apple computer (AAPL). On friday they came
out an announced a stock split...this is my first experience with this
issue... how does Money handle this situation, will it automatically double
my shares and adjust the stock price?

I'd imagine the stock price will not be a problem since that is updated
daily, but what about the number of shares?

Thank you all so much,
Confused Man
