Thanks Dick. I haven't upgraded my desktop yet. This isn't the only thing I
don't like about MO5. The other day in my account list, my investment
accounts were showing investement transactions instead of summary.

I don't know if it's the correct answer to what you are seeing, but beware
that M05 tries to mask the distinction between Money local content and MSN
content in every way they knew to mask it. Many "web" Money functions that
used to open in a separate browser now open in the app just like they are
part of the app.

I surmise (and I may be alone in this) that this is all about softening us
up to accept a future version of Money where NOTHING is on your local
machine and it's all just a web delivered subscription service--oh, and if
it wasn't already obvious from M05, one with the entire purpose of
delivering some kind of content having something remotely to do with
personal financial management solely as a way to attract your eyeballs to
look at ads and see links to targeted marketing. The goal for the content
will be strictly limited to having the content ("personal financial
management" in some loose sense) be **just compelling enough** to attract
you so they can direct the ads and the targeted and focused marketing links
in your direction. (This could be called the ClearChannel or 500 Channels
content model.) Note that they will be able to do a great job focusing the
marketing efforts directly on you since they will have a death grip on
everything there is to know about your personal finances: what you buy,
where you buy it, what you earn, how many kids you have, when you buy, how
much cash you have sitting around idle just looking for a home in some
advertiser's pocket, when you buy and sell major assets and so on. They'll
have their hands directly on far more data about you than, say, the credit
reporting companies do.

I forgot to mention I'm using Money 2005 Premium. And I don't have Money set
to browse from within Money.

Default browsing

When I click a link in Money, it opens the page in Money instead of IE. I
have my browser settings on Always use my default browser to browse the
internet.
