| A simple program that will download from the web is an oxymoron. <Use-Author-Supplied-Address-Header[at][127.1]> wrote in message news:B0001903509[at]mail21.cisp.com... - quote - > IMHO MSMoney tries to do too much and by so doing it doesn't do > anything > very well. | You do not have to use all the other features. Go to Tools Options and under the general tab tell Money to start with the "Last register used". Unless you choose otherwise you will never see anything but the check register. You can also turn off all the auto complete features and do not have to use categories. Downloading and connecting to banks and financial institutions is optional. If this stuff bothers you then just don't use it. Money can act as a simple check register if you would like. I teach sessions on Money, Quicken, and QuickBooks. Money is the best (easiest to use and most capable) program to use for personal finance. | IMHO MSMoney tries to do too much and by so doing it doesn't do anything very well. Before year 2000 I used a DOS version of Quicken. It was very fast and kept track of checkbook etc. It used categorizes, but it didn't download. I would like a simple program for keeping track of expenses, and one that will download from the WEB. Anyone have a recommendation? |
