That kills the only solution I was thinking of. I've never looked at
this--it may be the way it works. Money is in no way designed for people who
are living in much of any economic phase of life besides "slave labor
acquisitive." This suggests a bias against viewing investment dividends as
income for use in a budget.

Yes. Both "use account in BP" and "use account for budgeted savings goals"
are checked

I'm not sure: is there an Include in BP setting in the Investment Cash
Account details?

Default Dividend Income

When I enter dividends as transactions in my investment accounts, they show
up in Category Transfer From in my Cash account (for example Transfer From:
Charles Schwab & Co., Inv (Cash)). These do not show up in the Dividend
category in Budgets or on any of my budget reports. The budget reports don't
allow me to select the Investment account as a source.

On the Categories screen, the transactions all display but with an "Inv" in
the Num column. I don't see a way to modify the Categories or transactions
to get these recognized as dividends in my budget.

How do I get these dividends to show up in the budget?

I'm using Money 2003.
