| That did it. Thanks a lot. It is pretty rotten design that this happens but I am glad I still have my agent reader and fast newsgroup access on Charter. I wonder how it got set to that value on only one machine but not to worry. In the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Money\8.0,> that says > There is no disk in drive ..... > Please insert disk > Retry Cancel Continue > Then if I choose continue it starts and runs fine.. > The drive is the one used when I installed. > If I put ANY disk in that CD drive I do not get the message. you probably have something such as "AVHelpPath"="E:\MONEY\avhelp" or whatever. So the AVHelpPath probably refers to your CD drive. If you are adept at editing the registry, you can change the reference to refer to your hard drive rather than your CD drive. If you are not adept at that, find a friend who is. The path need not actually exist on the hard drive. |

| When I start Microsoft Money 2000 Version 8 I get an error message that says There is no disk in drive ..... Please insert disk Retry Cancel Continue Then if I choose continue it starts and runs fine.. The drive is the one used when I installed. If I put ANY disk in that CD drive I do not get the message. This is obviously a bug that should not happen. It is not needed and should not ask. What is the solution as I don't want to have to answer continue every time or keep a CD in the drive. I have already tried remove and reinstall with no change. |
