It's not supposed to. Many users report otherwise. Many others Just Say No
to archiving. All pain, precious little, if any, gain. Archiving doesn't do
what may users expect it to. It is utterly irreversible.

Default Archiving

I'm a Money 2004 deluxe user. When I archive, will that change the balance
of my accounts that I want to continue to use, even if I archive the older
transactions in those accounts?
