| You got it. It was single cost basis average. I was expecting actual cost basis per transaction. | I have Money 2004 and sold a mutual fund with long term gains, short term gains and reinvested dividends. I click reports--> taxes --> capital gains for 2005 and every individual (10) purchase costs are all incorrect. All sale proceeds are correct as are quantity of shares and dates and even total gain/loss is correct. But the subtotal short-term and long-term gains are wrong. Is this a bug in the program? It worked OK for other stocks that did not have reinvested didvidends nor both short-term and long-term stuff. This is the only report for a more complicated fund sale. |
