| Yes, I thought of that. As an accountant, that would be too easy. However, duplicated or missing transactions is not the case. Each bank account and credit card account is off by a different amount. I tried starting over with my back up disk by deleting the money files on my new PC and then restoring the back up file and downloading the new transactions again but that did not correct the problem. I also downloaded and ran the salvage program. Should I have mentioned that I am using Money 2002? Anyway, any and all help would be greatly appreciated. - quote - > -----Original Message----- > In microsoft.public.money, wldonnell wrote: > > I just migrated my money files from an old pc to my new > > pc by backing up the files on a diskette and then opening > > the backup diskette on my new pc. | I just had a very similar problem. I had downloaded transactions on my old PC and had deleted them. I also backed up my old database to migrate it to my new machine. My balances didn't match from the old machine (Money 98) to the new one (Money 2002). I also tried opening a copy of the old file, still on the old PC, from the new PC. (I have the two machines networked.) IT still had two different balances. Sorry that I couldn't help, but misery loves company. | I just migrated my money files from an old pc to my new pc by backing up the files on a diskette and then opening the backup diskette on my new pc. I then downloaded about a one week of transactions from my bank and credit cards; however the balances reflected on the "Read Online Statments" screen are different than the "Account List" balances, and the "Read online" balances appear to be the correct balances and agree with the balances on the institution websites. .. |
