If every attempt to convert an OFC file produced the error message "Error 424: Object required: 'xDoc'" - this is now fixed. |

| Thanks Colin, both for this comment and the emails we have exchanged directly. I let others fully know what I found out. First the FI is TIAA-CREF which has had the ability to download to Quicken. I had used their QIF format which is not the simplest thing to do as it generates duplicates with the manually entered data. Last summer they switched to QFX format which as Colin indicates is a superset of OFX. What I am now doing is click on the TIAA-CREF download to Quicken. when the save or open box appears, I click save and change the name to filename.ofx. Once it is saved the box opens again asking what I want to do, I then click open and it is immeadiately imported into money. The only issues I have found is that it wants to import a 0 shares entry for the last day with the current unit value. This does have the advantage of entering the price into the record. TIAA-CREF is not downloaded as it is not a true mutual fund. The other item I have noticed is that the current total value of the TIAA account includes the daily interest to the current day and it wants to do an add shares to incorporate this interest. Thus it does work. Quicken added a couple of extra tags to OFX and called the result QFX.> MT2OFX Support wrote: > > MT2OFX is a free utility program for translating bank statement > > information in any text/CSV format to QIF or OFX for use with MS Money > > or many other personal finance programs. > Art, as I understand it you shouldn't NEED a conversion from QFX to OFX. But the open OFX spec allows for this and suggests that OFX "readers" should ignore unrecognised tags. Are you having a specific problem or was it just a general enquiry?
