| If I understand your problem, the date and balance in the upper left corner of the account register is incorrect and not updated following an OFX download from your CU. I do not have this problem with Bank of America OFX downloads, I do however have this same problem with my CU accounts. They MFCU also sends OFX files and is stuck on February 17 2003 with the balance from that date. I have stepped up from 03, to 04, and finally to 05 on this account but the date remains. I have never looked at an MFCU OFX file but I have always assumed that they do not have the format exactly as MS wants. I do not htink it is a MS problem. Art kp wrote: - quote - > M05 Deluxe. | I guess I haven't had trouble with duplicates or anything. Maybe it just bugs me that the date is wrong. kp "Mark Horn" <mark[at]hornclan.com> wrote in message news:slrncuqata.2lo.mark[at]home.hornclan.com... - quote - > On 2005-01-18, kp <campmhaha[at]go.com> wrote: > > It's not really a problem. If you export to OFX, you shouldn't have to worry about downloading> paper by my computer reminding me of the last date I downloaded the account > so that I don't keep downloading the same dates over and over. the same dates over and over. Presumably you're doing this because you want to avoid duplicate transactions showing up in your register. But OFX includes a unique transaction ID (1) for each transaction. Money uses this ID to identify duplicates. When Money sees that it's already got that transaction, it simply ignores it when it sees it again. I don't worry about dates when I do my OFX downloads. I don't think you should have to either. If you are getting problems, then I would suggest that your FI is not doing a very good job of using OFX correctly. | M05 Deluxe. But the problem started with M02. I do not use any online banking services like billpay or anything like that. I go out to my Credit Union site about once a week and I export my checking account to an OFX file. Each time I do that, it automatically imports to my checking account register in M05. For a couple years, it would also list the date of the last download at the top of the column to the left of the register. But suddenly on October 13, 2003, it stopped changing the date and balance in that spot. The balance at the bottom of the register is right. It's not really a problem. It's an annoyance. I have to keep a piece of paper by my computer reminding me of the last date I downloaded the account so that I don't keep downloading the same dates over and over. Can this be fixed? Thanks! kp |
