| Andrew As Cal stated, the merge worked successfully. The message actually appears to be saying if you have more than 30 days in the new download file you are merging with the old file it will be lost. As always a good back before doing anything questionable update is an excellent idea. Concerning why I upgrade, I have additional accounts other than BoA which are directly downloaded from the credit card or investment account. These do not use Yodlee (Citibank, AT&T Universal, and Fidelity (both 403B and regular) accounts that now are automatically downloaded correctly. Several other minor nits within Money 2005 fixed items I had reported on Money 03 and 04, so the end result was that the resultant product is better for me than running 04. I however, do not use a passport password and hence do not use some of the major features including Yodlee. I do have a test account that uses Yodlee to see how they are coming on fixing problems with various accounts. I have found that they have fixed my MFCU and Corporate Diners Clud account. BoA is getting better but still not at the point I would use it. I have not tried Yodlee to have it mine my Frequent Flier accounts but supposedly it will do that. Thus I saw no need to go back to 04 as I can run 05 in a mode that is an improvement to 04. Art Andrew wrote: - quote - > Thanks for the help. Have you tried? Most people who were worried due to the warning> Money 2004 to 2005? Also, after the new online service is set up (better be > related to Yodlee since the service was not available with Money 2004), it > downloads a bunc of new accounts. I can not even merge then since it only > retains the info in the previous 30 days or so. found they did not loose their old existing transactions. Yet there was that one that I saw. So keep an extra backup before trying the merge. |

| Thanks for the help. Now I just wonder what I can gain by upgrading from Money 2004 to 2005? Also, after the new online service is set up (better be related to Yodlee since the service was not available with Money 2004), it downloads a bunc of new accounts. I can not even merge then since it only retains the info in the previous 30 days or so. I'll have to close my existing accounts and all the history and start over again. The Yodlee thing is a joke. Now I'm back to 2004 Deluxe and I'm happy as before..... | This has been documented in many postings to this group. The download for BoA (Texas) is not directly from the bank but via a product called Yodlee. You are correct the current available balance is reported. However, the most recent several (often up to 3 or so days) are not included within this balance. It also does not include the "pending" transactions that which are included in the available balance. This has been reported to MS by many of the users. MS says it is a Yodlee problem. Connection to www.yodlee.com and selecting the onyodlee to look at the same account shows this problem as well. This is not the only issue with BoA/Yodlee downloads that have been reported. Concerning going back. You can do the same thing within Money 2005. That is run it likeyou would run 2004 and manually down load the BoA account from the Web. That is what I have done. I use automatic downloads for any FI which are directly supported and use manual for all of them that use Yodlee for the download. | This is the new Money 2005 for Business. I'm somehow confused by the "Bank Balance" vs. "Adj. Balance" One of my accounts is Bank of America Texas. Money can get statement directly from BofA. The "bank balance" is what shown at the bank. But new transaction are not downloaded. The last transaction shown in my Money bank register is about 5-day old. No new transactions are downloaded. Of course, the "bank balance" and the "adj. balance" are different. I'm think about going back to Money 2004. I'll have to download statements from the web, but it is very reliable. Is there any way to fix the above problem. Or is there anything new I've not figured out? Thanks for any help. |
