| Yes, once you have an "online" account, you'll be able to merge your Bill Pay account with that account. -Mark "Jack" <Jack[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8E7C2565-B996-4554-9B71-62CFF8D5705D[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Thanks Mark I will give that a try and yes I have not set up my checking > account for online service yet, still importing it in the old way until I > could figure out the billpay account. | Thanks Mark I will give that a try and yes I have not set up my checking account for online service yet, still importing it in the old way until I could figure out the billpay account. After I set up online service will I be able then to merge the account with billpay msn. | What specifically about the merge did not work? If you got a message that there were no accounts to merge, then I'd assume that your "regular checking" account was not enabled for online services. Merge will only allow you to merge with an online enabled account. The MSN Bill Pay account is not considered online, since it's just a payment account and is not set up for online "statements". If that is the case, one alternative is to export your "regular checking" account as a QIF file and then import it into the Bill Pay account. You'll likely need to then do some clean-up: remove duplicates, adjust the opening balance... -Mark "Jack" <Jack[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:70668BC6-F5AB-4309-B5EF-B8DC7CA80E6E[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I also have that same problem, I have tried to merge them, but does not work. > I never had this in 2004 or other versions. | I also have that same problem, I have tried to merge them, but does not work. I never had this in 2004 or other versions. Talking to tech support did not help either, they had me cancell my msn billpay and start over but same thing. | I am using MSN BILL PAY and of course have a regular checking account linked to the BILL PAY account. In MONEY 2005, there are two separate registers for BILL PAY and regular checking. When I make electronic payments, those only appear in the BILL PAY register but not in my regular checking register. Eventually, they do make their way into my regular checking after they have cleared at my bank. I'd like my electronic payments to initially be recorded in my regular checking register, so it's easier for me to budget for them. How do I do that? Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks, John |
