| Thanks for the advice. I would love to dump M05 for all the same reasons you have. Especially the loss of the double entry categories. What the hell are they thinking. Anyways, I am having problems converting back. I can get one file back but not the other. I would hate to be stuck using M05. am going to try a couple of things. | Doesn't sound good. You might want to open a support case with Microsoft directly. You might also want to run the salv repair tool against the file before trying to upgrade it. You might also want to try to find an intermediate version, like the M04 trial which recently was still available from Microsoft Downloads and see if it can get the file part way there and M05 can finish the job. | What's your definition of "locked up"? Some of these upgrades can take many tens of minutes or more depending on amount of data and speed of the machine.
