 Re: Entering Mortgage Payment For 99.9% of users, "just sending in a check" equates to having a checking account in Money and that's the transfer account. You may be different. At any rate, a Loan Payment transaction needs to be entered in some cash account. If you just want Money to amortize a loan, Excel would be easier. Money tends to be anal because accounting is, almost by definition, anal. If that's not your bag, why use Money? | Entering Mortgage Payment What's with this damn anal program. I set up an account to track my mortgage. I want to enter all of the info manually month by month. When I try and enter a regular monthly payment, the stupid program seems to need to know what account I want the money transferred from. The answer is none. I just sent in a check.
