| You want to investigate File|Export. It produces QIF files--which are not directly Quicken files, if that's what you meant, one per account, that you should then be able to import into M97. (At least if I remember what M97 could do correctly. That was a **long** time ago.) You will have to edit the QIF files in Notepad or similar to delete all transactions older than your two years so you won't duplicate them. Loan accounts (among other things) are not supported via QIF. I understand performance issues in M01 and newer all too well, but I still do not recommend what you propose. | All: I have struggled with this issue since I switched from Money 97 to 2004. I can no longer deal with how slow this software is. I could care less about the stupid online features of this product - I just want Money 97 back! CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE BEST WAY TO GET MY FILE BACK TO MONEY 97? SHOULD I CONVERT IT TO QUICKEN FIRST? I will do anything, pay anyone, any amount of money to help me convert my files back to something I can use with Money 97. If necessary, I will hire someone to re-enter every transaction I have made for the last two years (since my last useable 97 backup). I had truly expected that 2005 would be the opportunity for MS to fix the speed issues in 2004, but now I see that they could care less. Do I ever regret the day that I switched to 2004... |
