I don't have a problem with help being online, or the updates, but it should
be when I want to go online.
A lot of times I just have to do money stuff

Sure they can, just like any other program update.

But, beyond that, I think it's a waste for it to update stock prices or
whatever it is doing every time you open Money. Especially if you aren't
watching any stocks, currencies, etc.

Trouble with that is MS have decided to keep, for example, Help on-line. I
suppose it makes sense, as MS can, theoretically, make amendments to Help,
that they can't do when Help is only on your PC.

If you run a software firewall, such as Zone Alarm, you should be able to
block Money having any online access.

Sorry but none of us that post have found a way. It seems that M2005 demands
to go on-line - even if you have no on-line accounts - to get latest
currency rates and share prices.

Default work offline

When I start MS Money 2005 Delux, it tries to log on to the internet. I
turned off everything I can see and it still does it. When I stop the
dialer, "work offline" is checked under FILES but the next time I start it,
it does it again. I don't want money to log me on every time I bring it up.
MS Money 2003 didn't do this.....thanks in advance
