| Some of us have been saying that for a decade now. I suppose if it was worthwhile all those years for Red Sox fans, it might pay off eventually for Money users too. "Colin M. | Thanks to everyone for the feedback. The answers are in line with what I expected to hear after having played around with the software. I guess I had just hoped that I overlooked these features. Oh well, maybe next year... Kind Regards, -- Colin M. McGroarty, MCSE, MCP+I, NT-CIP 2004 Microsoft MVP, Windows Server - General www.McGroarty.org |

I don't know if it is similar or not. Go to Help-> MicrosoftMoneyHelp> Quicken? and enter "savings goal" into the search box. - quote - > Third, I see that one can pull stock ratings into the investment register,
Go to the Portfolio view. By> is there a way to also pull Morningstar fund ratings? ChangePortfolioView-> CustomizeCurrentView-> PortfolioColumns you can see what is available. Morningstar fund ratings is not one of them. When you make changes, you might want to do SaveAs to work with your customized views. - quote - > Thanks in advance for any assistance.
I suggest you peruse the reports gallery. Click a report or so, andnote the power of Customize. Review your backup strategy. USB flash drive are very nice. [M05]Tools-> Settings-> AccountSettings(global)-> ConfirmNewPayees will give you the option to not add a payee to the list that you are using one time only. [M05]Banking-> AccountTools-> Categories&Payees-> Payees-> GoToPayeeRulesManager. Your downloaded transactions may come with some generic term where the Payee should be. Excluded Payee Names identifies words and phrases that should be ignored from the payee field (e.g., check, deposit, purchase). Add words that are generically added by your bank. Set [M05]Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServices-> ShowStandardizedPayeeNames to combine payees that differ only by a number at the end. This may work better after you have combined payees from previous downloads. Consider [M05]Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServices-> AddADescriptionToTheMemoField |

It's kinda lame, but it's in Budget Planner.> Quicken? - quote - > Third, I see that one can pull stock ratings into the investment register,
We keep asking, but instead we get Essential * modes, which, we are told,> is there a way to also pull Morningstar fund ratings? most users prefer. - quote - > Thanks in advance for any assistance.

| I'm a long time Quicken user and have just gotten a copy of Microsoft Money Premium 2005. I'm tinkering with the idea of switching to Money but am having a hard time finding some options that I've become quite accustomed to. First, I'm wondering if there is a way to exclude minimum balances from showing in the register. Example, checking account has a $5,000 in it with a $2,000 minimum balance. I'd like the register to show a $3,000 current balance. Second, is there a savings goal feature similar to that found in Intuit's Quicken? Third, I see that one can pull stock ratings into the investment register, is there a way to also pull Morningstar fund ratings? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Kind Regards, -- Colin M.
