| Betting the cost of some postings. My postings go for about a dime a thousand. I like the idea of asking Russ: hey Russ, we know you're listening: does the Money group get ANY feedback, good or bad, from the Product Returns process? How's the feedback so far on M05??? Let's see if he takes the bait... Most likely, they won't even know. That would work in a small company, but in a big one those who plot new plots about the product and those who issue refunds are likely separated by oceans, cultures, and magnitudes of salary. All success stories about the data mining, warehousing, analytical processing, statistical analysis etc., are not much more than mere ads intended to convince the reader to buy the tools for the abovesaid activities. In reality, nobody has a clue, and all decisions are made by the big guys basing on their moods and their politics. An example. Intuit every year sends to X new CD with turbotax. X installs turbotax, pays $Y to Intuit, prepares the return, then exercises Intuit's money-back guarantee and gets $Y back. Next year, Intuit sends new turbotax along with the letter thanking for being loyal customer. This goes on for 4 years. Think Microsoft is much different? note that Microsoft is Z times bigger. | BTW, make sure to tell them why you are cashing it out and make sure to nick them for the sales tax and the shipping costs. If enough people do this, maybe they'll get the hint. | MS will do nothing to delete your data. It'll probably be there 100 years from now unless you tell Money to delete it. Do this by going into the settings and clearing the setting for Sync with the web--or whatever they call it. I'd look, but I Just Said No to M05 already. See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=49 for the 30DMBG question. BTW, the Money development team swears Most Users Prefer all of this stuff. You must be some kind of exception. Congratulations.
