I asked them to do this and they stated that they do not have this ability,
but I know they have to be able to change it, they just won't send the
request to the group that could do it.

What the bank is saying is that since you had Money 2005 contact the bank's
servers, the bank's servers have set your accounts to be enabled for Money
2005, hence breaking the old Money 2000 connection.
So, if you really do want to go back to Money 2000, you'll have to contact
the bank and have them remove/reset the information on their server, so that
you can reenable Money 2000 to talk to them.
But, since Money 2000 is several versions old, I'd expect that you'll
continue to get more and more degraded online experience over time.

Thank you Steve! I am at a crossroad that I did not want to encounter.
Online Banking features of Money 2000 that have worked flawlessly for 4 1/2
years have lately been failing such as Automatic Monthly Payments with no
end dates only scheduling for one occurrence. My Bank (JP Morgan Chase)
reports the problem must be in the version of Money I am using since
Microsoft no longer provides support for the 2000 version.

A side note is that I installed 2005 Deluxe on a completely separate
computer than the one I use for 2000, and after connecting to online
services I am no longer able to use the online banking features of Money
2000 on the other computer. Attempts to disable and re-enable online access
from within Money 2000 does not correct the problem.

I contacted Microsoft to assist with uninstalling Money 2005 which in my
book would require them to allow my previous version to work since
installing the newer version caused features to break in another licensed
version on another PC. Sadly to say, they have not been successful in
troubleshooting this issue.

My Bank reported that Money 2000 does not support ofx format, and that 2005
converts the server to allow transfer of data using ofx, I distinctly
remember in the Product Support Training manual 2000 does support transfer
of data using ofx format, so I have no idea what they are talking about.

I guess I am now forced to use 2005 even if during the 30 day money back
guarentee I find I am not satisfied with the product. Not sure if Quicken
locks you into the upgrade during the trial of a new version, but I may be
willing to take that chance.

Sure, go out and buy the Premium version. But why do that? If you have been
happy with Money 2000 for five years why did you upgrade? I think you are
looking for some majical improvement to what you do in Money that may not be
there. Premium is just a third party upgrade for heavy investment users. Good
luck. Steve

I'm not sure there's a good answer to that question. See
http://umpmfaq.info/Money2005.htm. From M2k, there is some case for an
upgrade, but M05 is really hard to recommend.

Default How to upgrade Deluxe to Premium version

Why should I upgrade from 2000 to 2005? I do not see any new features between
these versions. I purchased the deluxe version of 2005 and this is the only
version available from the retailer I purchased it from, is there a way to
upgrade to the premium version from the deluxe version?

Thank You,
Greg Salts
