Specifically: Account List More|Categories & Payees| (below Preferred payee
names and above Classification 2) |Delete classification.

Did you look for a thing like a category and like a payee but called a
classification?

Go to Payees and Categories and tell it to delete the classification.
Somehow, it got created.
