This limitation, in M05, comes from Microsoft via Yodlee. BofA really> import the data every so often THEN YES, THE DATA HAS TO BE ON THE MSN > SERVERS. That's why Yodlee got involved. If you want good downloads from BofA and don't want the data to have to be on MSN Money, then Quicken is your answer, apparently. - quote - > The fact that you have so much time on your hands to manually record your

| Cal, Do you know if the PayeeRulesManager is case sensitive? Thank you for all of the suggestions. I'll continue to work this issue. | I'm not sure if you're trying to bust my sack or what! If you want your data to sync when you open the program, vs. having to import the data every so often THEN YES, THE DATA HAS TO BE ON THE MSN SERVERS. Now as to who's making the requirement, I'm not sure. As a bofa customer you know that they only "support" Quicken when it comes to directly connecting to your account. "How is this possible, you say" No acutally I didn't say that. But If I, or anyone else needs exporting 101 I'll send them your way. The fact that you have so much time on your hands to manually record your transactions at the local book/adult film store is wonderful. I currently use money to manage several of my "small businesses" each one has no less than four accounts, So I spend my time building businesses, meeting new clients, ect... For someone like yourself I'm sure your method works jsut fine. I'm a Bank of America customer with both checking and savings accounts. Both of those accounts are in my Money 2005 Deluxe. I know FOR A FACT that my data is NOT on any MSN server. How is this possible, you say? Simple. I record all my BOA transactions directly into Money everyday the way I want to show it. I put the exact payee name, etc. I WANT TO SEE in the correct field of Money. You see, I don't rely on some stupid download program. I rely on my brain and the Money program. You can do it too. Good luck. Steve |

I have an idea, but I don't have really high hopes that you will> servers(still not sure why that is!). My issue is that when I sync the > accounts All i get is a portion of the payee field. It starts with the words > "purchase" then a bunch of numbers... > Any ideas on how to change this? have the payees automatically handled when you are done, but it could still be an improvement. It shouldn't hurt. [M05]Tools-> Settings-> AccountSettings(global)-> ConfirmNewPayees will give you the option to not add a payee to the list that you are using one time only. [M05]Banking-> AccountTools-> Categories&Payees-> Payees-> GoToPayeeRulesManager. Your downloaded transactions may come with some generic term where the Payee should be. Excluded Payee Names identifies words and phrases that should be ignored from the payee field (e.g., check, deposit). Add words that are generically added by your bank, including "purchase". Set [M05]Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServices-> ShowStandardizedPayeeNames to combine payees that differ only by a number at the end. This may work better after you have combined payees from previous downloads. However if that is all Money has, it will leave you with nothing to distinguish transactions. I suggest you set [M05]Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServices-> AddADescriptionToTheMemoField to aid you in selecting a Payee. |

| 1. Is this happening with all of your purchases? 2. Are the purchases from different vendors? 3. If you have online banking capabilities, do the payees for those transactions also show "purchase ..."? If the above is true, call the BoA online services department and talk to them about the issue. Another less possible scenario, is that you have Payee Rules setup so they match a payee called "purchase ...". It starts with the words "purchase" then a bunch of numbers... Any ideas on how to change this? Mike |
