In IE6, make sure that Tools-> InternetOptions-> DoNotSaveEncryptedPagesToDisk is uncheck. If that does not fix things for you, continue. Start-> Settings-> ControlPanel-> FolderOptions-> FileTypes Select QIF (assuming it is a QIF file) Click Advanced. Check Confirm Open After Download unless you would not like the pop-up box. I would check the Always Show Extension, but you may choose not to. See that the "Actions" box contains "Open" in bold. If it is not bold, you can select Open as the default action by clicking the Set Default button. Click Edit. When you click edit, the application used to perform action should be similar to the following line: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money\System\mnyimprt.exe" %1 WITH the quotes, and the %1 after the quote. Adjust the path according to where Money is installed on your system. Modify for your setup. Use DDE should be checked. Application should be "mnyimprt" without quotes. |

| I have M03 - Canadian version. After installing Win XP Home SP2, I am having troubles downloading statements from my bank. Previously I was able to simply OPEN the file, and have it downloaded; now I must SAVE it first and then import it. No big deal, but I wonder why the OPEN no longer works. A more serious problem is that I cannot download my MasterCard statement at all. Clicking the "download statement" button, results in a dialogue sized box appearing and disappearing so quickly I can't make out what it is - and the statement does not download. My IE security settings are all at default settings. I've tried adding the bank's and MC's URL to the Trusted Sites to see if that would help. But no luck there. |
