| Hi Jordan. I noticed the same thing. If you have just a simple ATM withdrawal, without debit cards, etc, you can create a new category called ATM Withdrawals, or something similar. This is what I did. Depending on which version of Money you use, you can create it as a subcategory under Banking, or as a stand alone category. Good luck, Gary "jordan" <jordan[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:03FF237D-9220-4EAD-B4EF-CA121C8E3C62[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > This might be a lame question, but how should i catagorized an atm withdraw, > especially if its made at the register along with your other purchases?? > right now i have it as a custom made expense "atm withdraw", how have you > done it?? > and who would the payee be? thanks.. |

| See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=93. If it's made as part of, say, a purchase at the grocery store on your Discover card, you can record the whole transaction amount and then split it into, say $80 Food:Groceries and $20 Transfer:[the cash account described in the FAQ answer]. I have set-up an account called Cash on Hand. This account is reconciled by me> From: =?Utf-8?B?am9yZGFu?= jordan[at]discussions.microsoft.com > Date: 12/28/2004 5:25 PM Eastern Standard Time > Message-id: <03FF237D-9220-4EAD-B4EF-CA121C8E3C62[at]microsoft.com> This might be a lame question, but how should i catagorized an atm withdraw, > especially if its made at the register along with your other purchases?? > right now i have it as a custom made expense "atm withdraw", how have you > done it?? > and who would the payee be? thanks.. on the last day of the month to whatever cash I have at that time. The account is credited as a transfer from my bank checking account whenever I do an ATM. The account is charged via scheduled expenses based on my history of spending cash for food, household expenses or leisure items as well as any specific cash I might spend when I get a haircut. Same process can be used with credit cards by setting up a credit card account and charging all your expenses to it and then when you pay off the card each month doing a transfer from your checking account to credit your credit card account. Hope this helps. Steve |
