| The base categories did change in M05. This ****shouldn't**** have effected categories you'd used in previous versions, but at least one case--it mangles Food:Groceries and Food ining Out to Groceries and DiningOut--results in mangled data files across the upgrade. As to this problem occurring between successive M05 installs, this does seem odd, but there are LOTS of things about M05 that seem odd. You can create and modify the categories any way you want. I would take a look at Banking-> AccountTools-> Categories&Payees-> Payees to view your categories and perhaps do some changes. I am also wondering if http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;889931 would be of help. I don't think that is what you are describing, but I thought I would bring it up. |

| after I set up my bank account on the second install it did default to essential register, yes. When I originally installed M05 it defaulted to the advanced register. I have since tried using both types and find that the category "leisure" with sub cats. still doesn't appear. To me this appears to be a glitch problem and not a setting problem. But I am no computer expert by any means and am just making an undeducated guess. | I recently installed M05, then made a few mistakes and decided to uninstal and reinstall and start fresh. When I reinstalled and I went to assign categories to my checking account register I noticed that the category "Leisure" had disappeared. This category previously would be shown with sub categories of: tapes, cultural events, cds, entertainment etc. Now there is only the category "Hobbie/Leisure" with no sub cat. Hobbie/Leisure appeared there even when the "Leisure" category was available before my first uninstall. Any suggestions? I really found those sub categories useful. Must be some glitch or somthing. That is weird how they just dissapper like that. |
