| F2K, It all depends on how you get the shares. If you use new money, its a buy. If the fund has a distribution, it could be a reinvestment of either dividends, short-term gains, or long-term gains. The only time add shares is typically used is if you don't have all the data on one or more transactions but want to have your positions reflected accurately.
