| In Spending by Category, try customizing it to change Details|Type to All Types. In Spending by Payee, likewise try customizing it to change Details|Type to All Types. | For example, yesterday I was looking under the reports by payee and by category and they only showed the charges, not the credits. So, some gifts that were returned didn't change the 'gifts' category and how much was spent during the month even though I put 'gifts' as the category for both the orginal charge entry and then the credit entry. Hope I'm making sense... | I'm sure I'm missing something simple here but let's say to do some shopping and use the category "gifts" for that charge. Now, a few days later you return a few of the items that were bought. I originally tried to use the same category "gifts" (even though it's supposed to be income) but I can't seem to decrease that category total for the month. How can you go about applying that return to the category it was originally assigned to when it was charged? |
