Money 2005 and ofx

Reinstalling Money did the trick. Thank you again!

Try reinstall, and if Money wants you to uninstall first, it will
say so.

Thank you again for your help but when I open controlpanel> folderoptions, ofx
is not listed and if I click new and then type ofx, money is not listed as an
option to associate the ofx file with. should I uninstall money from the
control panel or use the manual uninstall from the MS help pages or can I
just reinstall over the top?

Select OFX-- Open Financial Exchange File .

Click Advanced. Check Confirm Open After Download unless
you would not like the pop-up box.

See that the "Actions" box contains "Open" in bold. If it is not
bold, you can select Open as the default action by clicking the
Set Default button.

Click Edit.

When you click edit, the application used to perform action
should be the following line:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2005\MNYCoreFiles\mnyimprt.exe" %1
WITH the quotes, and the %1 after the quote. The path will
differ based on your installation. Modify for your setup.

Application should be mnyimprt with the appropriate path.
The easy way to fix this may be to reinstall Money.

Tools-> InternetOptions-> DoNotSaveEncryptedPagesToDisk.

In money 2004, I could go to my broker and click on active statement,
download it and money would open and automatically import the file. I
"upgraded" to money 2005 and now I have to save the file to the desktop and
then start money and click file import. I tried using
start|controlpanel|folder options|but ofx wasn't listed and when I click new
and then ofx, money was available on the list to associate the file with.
any suggestions?
