Try opening Money with Start-> Run and entering
"msmoney -s" without the quotes into the box.

Default huge negative balances after restore

winXP/Money2003

I recently installed my money proram on a new computer. I restored by
backup without errors. However, when I launch money, all my balances were
the same negative number (580 trillion and change). This seems to indicate
that's the program is looking for some information that it can't find, but
what? where? I did a salvage on the file with no results.

I found a fix for the investments (on each investment, go into
Change details, then click rename. Remove the check box to allow cash
transactions, click ok, then immediately go back in and recheck the box if
you want to track cash transactions). It seems to have worked for all my
investments except for my 401k. However, my bank accounts, credit cards and
mortgage accounts all show the same negative trillion dollar balances and I
cannot find any place in the setup or configuration that would show me where
this is coming from. Help! I love this program and I really want it to
work.

Thanks,

Marianne
