Don't think so - it now seems to be working fine. Don't know what I
was doing wrong! Got an answer on the the UK Money list.

Maybe the budget reallocation of funds for the budget program in Money 2005 is
broke?

Default Reallocating Funds in Budget

I have - like many others - been buying Christmas presents this month.
I have not budgeted for this expense. However, there is a category in
my regular budget (Miscellaneous: Other Expenses) which is under budget
this month.

> From the Help file I have read about reallocating funds between
categories. I wish to reallocate funds from Miscellaneous to Gifts:
Christmas. I have therefore created a "Gifts: Christmas" one-off
budget item.

I fill in all the boxes in the Reallocate Funds wizard correctly (I
think). I click on "Finish" - but nothing seems to happen.

The "Gifts: Christmas" subtotal in the budget summary continues to show
the actual amount I have spent (€47.75)and then the budgeted amount
(€16.33 - the amount I had spent when I first created the one-off
budget item) and the difference: €-31.42.

The Miscellaneous subtotal shows no change to before.

Isn't something supposed to look different? E.g. isn't the budgeted
Miscellaneous amount supposed to go down and the budgeted Christmas
amount go up?

Many thanks for any help anyone can offer. And a Happy Christmas!
I'm using Money 2005 UK trial version. (Posted on UK but no joy so
far!)
