GT,

You might want to try a backup media larger than floppy disk. If the
media can hold your entire backup file, you can just copy the backup
file to media outside Money and avoid the Money "Save to Floppy"
routine. This should eliminate the temp file altogether.

JB

There is a MS Knowledge Base entry that admits this is a bug for, ISTR, .mny
files > 7mb. No promises of a fix and work around of formatting the backup
media first.

It has to do with the backup. Both when money closes and when saving
to the floppy disk.

GT,

Most prior posts reporting a duplicated temp file are associated with a
backup procedure. You mention "every time it closes".

Could you post back with additional detail on your save and backup
routine including whether this temp file coincides with either of these
functions?

JB

A really neat way to find prior postings in this group is to use the
Google Usenet Groups archive.

http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search enter words that you
think would be in relevant posts into the "all of the words" box.
Enter microsoft.public.money into the newsgroup box. Consider
selecting Sort By Date.

Default Temp Files created on money close ??

Has this problem been addressed yet. I hate that money creates a temp
file every time it closes. At least it should use the existing but no
it creates a new one each time.
