| It was intended as an FYI to others having less experience with the program that couldn't understand why it wasn't doing what it was supposed to. I don't doubt that I've gotten my $25 worth. -- Chris Cowles, Gainesville, FL "SJCOHEN730" <sjcohen730[at]aol.com> wrote in message news:20041218210518.00325.00002161[at]mb-m17.aol.com... - quote - > Chris, > Of course it is a flaw in Money. We use it because there is alot of GOOD information it provides as long as we are careful in how we input data and as long as we have a good financial head on our shoulder in order to 'think' things out. Your example shows that you have a good sense of finance. Now you shouldn't waste YOUR time trying to prove out every little thing that Money should do. You've used this program for long enough to know its problems, but if you're like me you also can see that today's version has at least some benefits that earlier versions don't have. I say all this because I do NOT use the automatic uploads and downloads of data from my various banks and credit card accounts. I enter the data manually or schedule it. My only upload is now automatic with Money 2005 and that is investment data which comes in continously thru my cable DSL. Good luck. Steve |

| I have a balance on a credit card and have scheduled a minimum monthly payment for 12 months. I edited the last payment to pay off the balance, then looked at the cash flow forecast to confirm it would be $0. No matter whether the last payment is different or not, the last payment of the series will never show up on the cash flow forecast. I've done everything necessary to make sure the date range of both the forecast and the payment schedule are correct. I've even revised the schedule so there's an extra payment. In that case, the cash flow forecast looks right but, of course, I don't want to make that extra payment. This is clearly a flaw. Hope it's not present in M05 but I'll never know. I won't try an upgrade again until M06. -- Chris Cowles, Gainesville, FL |
