How is Favorites spelled on the menus? They probably use the UK spelling
there, too.

Simple test - have a look in Help and see how "cheque" is spelt!

Default Trial Version of Money 2004

I tried that... won't work. I did bring this software from
the UK... but nowhere on the package does it state that it
is the UK version. All it says is... Microsoft Money 2002
Standard.

I encountered the same thing. Rather than let M2K4 convert and open my 02
file on startup, I created a new file just to get the trial program up and
running. From "open" on the file menu I pointed it to my 02 file and it
worked fine.

The trial version is for the USA only. Your current Money file is not USA -
perhaps UK or Aus.

You need to wait until Money is released for the relevant geography before
you upgrade.
