Dick,
I won't mess with it.

I tried to put a register into Essential mode only to discover that
Essential was code for MUST DOWNLOAD THE TRANSACTION DATA. That was the end
of my interest in Essential Register. This is why the sample file doesn't
demonstrate it.

I believe you can mess with Essential Budget and Reports without mangling
anything--the Advanced stuff just stays there 'til you go back to it--but I
haven't tried it in any great way. I'm not so sure about Essential Bills.

Default LONGTIME MONEY USERS WHO HAVE USED "ESSENTIAL" MODE IN MONEY 2005

I have NEVER attempted to use the "essential" reporting in my Money 2005 deluxe
because I was afraid it would screw up the advanced settings that I want and
use. Has anyone played around with switching back and forth to "advanced" and
"essential" with SIGNIFICANT history data of at least the past five years? Any
problems with the program doing this? I'd just like to see what the screens
look like but I sure don't want to use it long term. Comments? Thanks, Steve
