Money 2005 should have worked, but if you got the "incompatible> backup. I have tried installing the 2005 trial, but that doesn't work either. > What can I do? version" error, then the Money 2005 trial was not for the same country as your other versions. |

| I can't speak for what's going on with M05. That should work, though you might rather it didn't given the nature of M05 and issues with it. If you end up going back in that direction, consider doing an internet update of M05 before trying to open your M04 data file. (You can just open the sample file or create a simple new data file with nothing in it.) M05 was so shaky out of the chute that there is Mega Update already available for it that improved, among other things, its ability to upgrade data files. As for why M03 can't open you file after the M04 trial, see http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=84. | Hi. I have received money 2003 with my laptop last year and used it ever since. Resently I downloaded the 2004 trial version and used it for the monthly period. As I just use it for my home finances I didn't see a need to buy the 2004 version just yet and so I uninstalled it and reinstalled the 2003 version. The problem is that I can't open my money file anymore or restore the backup. I have tried installing the 2005 trial, but that doesn't work either. What can I do? please help... sam |
