Thanks, works great. I am using the web-based newsreader (inside IE 6.0) and
didn't notice any attachment.

Dick, this seems to be a recurring problem, but not only I am unsure
whether it's worthy of an entry in your FAQ, it would also be an
atypical entry due the .reg file which would vary by the user's
installation location.

It's attached to the post you responded to, but unless you use a standalone
newsreader program like Outlook Express, rather than Microsoft's Web-based
newsreader, you cannot access the attachment. However, I posted this copy
on my website for you:

http://bneville1.home.mindspring.com...2005sounds.reg

Please follow the instructions in my previous post.

I have the same problem with Money 2005. Wher can I get a copy of the .reg
file to do the correction?

I tried to turn them off then on and it didn't work

I tried to change sounds, the problem is under "program events" money is not
listed. So there is nothing to assign a sound to.

I tried removing money and reinstalling but that didn't work. How do I get
Money to be listed under the "Sound - Program Events"?

You could try turning them off at
Tools-> Settings-> ProgramSettings-> PlaySounds, and then turning them
back on.

Also when you click ChangeSounds-> Sounds you can select a particular
Money sound. Then the little play button will play that sound. It
probably makes the sound when you test that way, but it is worth
checking for a sound or two.

Default Money Sounds

For some reason the sounds quit working in Money 2005. They use to work. I
checked the settings in Money and sounds are turned on. I checked sounds in
the control panel and there are no money ones listed. Not sure if there is
suppose to be or not. I tried to reinstall Money and that didn't work
either.

How do I make the sounds work again?
