One drag about MBNA is that you have to wait until your monthly
statement is posted to download. Annoying to the point that I rarely
use the card. Money classifys them as a web statement so the import is
semiautomatic in the sense that Money knows which account to import
into when you actually do it.

As others have said, Discover and Amex both automatically download in
Money 2004 for me. Hence, I use them more.
ps. I wrote MBNA a letter once about it. No reply.

Citicard downloads a balance. Money can balance to that number
automatically if it matches up. You can see that number in the upper
left corner of the register.

There is not a "monthly statement" downloaded, unless you only
download monthly.

Cal,

As far as I can tell (I have Citibank), it's supports direct downloads of
transactions, but I don't think it technically supports direct downloads of
statements (which I may be confusing) as I believe that particular standard
actually allowed you to electronically download your closing statement to
perform balancing...

We download our American Express, MBNA, and Bank of America credit card
statements directly. AE is hooked up directly in Money, for MBNA and
BA I go to their website and download into money.

You can find this out on the "Is My Bank Online" pages of
www.microsoft.com/money
But, I couldn't find a way to explicitly filter for Direct vs "Yodlee". So,
you'd have to look at each one:

1. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/money/bankonline.aspx
2. Select Credit Card Providers Only
3. Choose a Letter
4. Click on a financial institutions name
IF it says "Direct Services" and includes the following blurb then it is
Yodlee:
* This service is only available if you have Microsoft Money 2005. You will
need to use Microsoft .NET Passport in order to access your account
information
IF it says "Direct Services" but does NOT include the above text, then it is
using OFX direct services.
The majority will likely be Yodlee.

How many credit cards do you want?

You can go to
http://www.microsoft.com/money/banko...dProvidersOnly
and select a card. If the pop-up description does NOT say "This
service is only available if you have Microsoft Money 2005. You will
need to use Microsoft .NET Passport in order to access your account
information.", then it has direct OFX access.

I should probably add that I'm looking for cards that do not require Yodlee
in the middle - I haven't upgraded to M05.

Credit Card companies support direct statements:

1) Bank One
2) CitiBank
3) Discover
4) American Express
5) ???

These cards work well with direct download to Money (as do many
others):

http://www.citibank.com/us/cards/chooser/reward.htm
http://www.citibank.com/us/cards/chooser/index.htm

Default can anyone recomend a credit card that supports direct statements

I'm looking for people to post credit card companies they've used which
support direct statements. As of now, I know of only one (thanks to Chris
Cowles' post in this forum earlier which I've confirmed with a phone call to
Bank One)
"...I use BankOne for a Visa card (formerly FirstUSA) because they support
direct statement downloads...
--
Chris Cowles,
Gainesville, FL"

So here's the list:

Credit Card companies support direct statements:

1) Bank One
2) ???

Thanks!
