One of the really cool things Money does is to send schedule D
information to your income tax program. Another is the ability to
download from brokers , banks and credit cards ("financial
institutions") There are a bunch of capabilities, and each person
has favorites.

It would take a little time to set up, but after the set up most of the
tracking that one does with MSmoney can be cone with a spread-sheet and
much faster. Because of the slowness of MS perhaps using both systems
togeather is the way to go? MSmoney for online work - spread sheet for
Records.

I agree totally....However no one has been able to explain to me why it is
soooooo slow. It takes 15 minutes to update stock prices whereas it used to
be 15 seconds.

Exactly, and that's what angers me. They're sitting on tens of billions of $
they don't know what to do with; it's not like they couldn't afford to produce
better products.

In the greater overall scheme of things, Money doesn't do all that much.
Microsoft created Office, WinXp, SQL Server, Project, VisStudio, et al. They
are certainly capable of creating software that both does more and runs
faster. But first they have to want to.

They are so slow. I think MS would be better off creating software that
runs faster and does less.

In reading many of the concerns herein relative to upgrading
from V2003 to V2005, I don't think I will. However, I think MS
should be concerned!
